OUR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SERVICE IMPERATIVES
Tower Ark Limited’s alternative energy solution takes a long-range view of renewable energy as the future of global energy supplies particularly in sub-Saharan Africa especially, Nigeria, where traditional energy source has not been effectively harnessed to serve the general population.
According to the Nigerian Power Sector, Investment Opportunities and Guideline document published in 2016 by the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, less than 46% of the Nigerian population has access to electricity supply. The implication of this is that most Nigerians live in communities without access to electricity. Even the available electricity capacity is grossly insufficient to meet existing power need of the less than 46% who have access to the national grid. This underscores the need to expand national supply of electricity vis-a-vis generation and distribution. However, expanding national supply calls for looking inwards to alternative sources of energy available and harnessing these alternatives with a view to diversifying our energy generation mix and boosting the supply and distribution of electricity to the non-electrified Nigerians. Interestingly, Nigeria is blessed with abundant natural resources including sun power, biomass, tidal and wind that could help achieve this important milestone. This will also help in achieving government’s sustainable energy for all agenda.
1. Tower Ark – “Solar Home Solutions” (TASHS)
Our Solar Home Solutions are designed to fill energy supply gaps required in homes and small businesses. We provide reliable energy solutions ranging from 1kva to 10kva to serve the needs of families and small businesses. These solutions are designed either as a stand-alone power source (Off-grid) or as an integrated solution (Grid-tied systems) depending on clients’ requisition.
2. Tower Ark – Commercial and Industrial Solutions (TACIS)
As the name suggests, our TASESI solutions are designed to meet the energy supply needs of medium to large businesses, industries and residential estates requiring large amount of electricity ranging from 15kva to 100kva, a gap which were hitherto filled by running diesel generators with its attendant associated running and maintenance cost. Our solar solution is aimed at taking the burden off these businesses via cost savings while guaranteeing continuous production. The combine effect of which is greater profitability, delivery of greater value to stakeholders and eco-friendly operations.
3. Tower Ark – Mini-Grid Solutions (TAMGS)
This is our umbrella solar solution for off-grid community renewable energy projects. This solution is designed for villages, IDP camps, rural settlements, isolated military facilities and such other settlements. It provides both operation supports to facilities and installations at remote locations and energy for rural dwellers and small business in such location. With this solution, we provide 50 to 100 megawatts of electricity depending on our client energy requirement coupled with a robust metering system that enable our users measure their consumption on real-time basis. Our turnkey solution eliminates all uncertainty related to energy availability, usage monitoring and bill payment.
